Homes with wiring older than 25 years, frequent tripping, cracked sockets or cotton or rubber insulated cables may need attention. An inspection will confirm if a full or partial rewire is the safest choice.

How long does a rewire take?

A partial rewire typically takes 2 to 3 days. A full rewire for an average three bed home usually takes 5 to 10 days depending on access, plaster condition and any making good.

How much does rewiring cost?

Guide pricing for a full rewire is usually £3,000 to £6,000 for an average home. Bungalows, large properties or listed buildings may cost more. You will get a fixed quote before work begins.

Can I live at home during a rewire?

Yes in many cases. We can phase the work room by room and keep areas tidy, but there will be some dust and disruption. We will agree a plan that works for you.

What paperwork will I receive?

You will receive an Electrical Installation Certificate and, where applicable, Part P Building Control notification. All work complies with BS 7671. Documents are stored in your Alfie account.
