Is Alfie a real person?

No, Alfie is an AI assistant, trained to understand common home issues, guide you clearly, and get things sorted faster than traditional directories or call-outs. You can still speak to a human if needed.

Who are the tradespeople and service providers you work with?

We only work with experienced tradespeople who meet our quality standards. Most are rated 4.8 stars or higher and we have worked with them before.

What if the tradesperson or service provider doesn’t do a good job?

That’s where the Hey Alfie Guarantee comes in. If the original tradesperson can’t fix it, we’ll arrange someone else and cover up to £1,000 (incl. VAT) to make it right. Terms apply.

How quickly can I get help?

You can describe your issue in seconds, and Alfie starts helping right away. The more details you give the better. In most cases Alfie will tell you how much it will cost.

Do I have to pay to use Alfie?

Nope. Using Alfie is completely free. You’ll only ever pay for any work you agree to with a tradesperson.

Can Alfie help me fix things myself?

Yes, if it’s safe to do so, Alfie can guide you through a step-by-step fix. Think of it like having a friendly expert on standby before you book a pro.

Is the £1,000 Guarantee a cash payout?

No. If your issue qualifies, we’ll arrange and pay a trusted service provider directly to carry out the fix, up to £1,000 including VAT. We do not issue cash payouts.

How do I submit a guarantee claim?

Email us at alfie@heyalfie.com with your job reference, a description of the problem, and photos or videos. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

Do you organise emergency jobs?

Yes. For urgent issues (e.g. no heating, leaks, lockouts), just speak to Alfie for help. Availability depends on your area, the service provider's schedule and time of day.

Can I choose the tradesperson myself?

Yes. Once you get to booking a quote, Alfie will give you a choice of who you may want to see (we know loads of great tradespeople!) After that, it’s over to Alfie.
