Yes, lots of people do. Tell me what you've bought and I'll get quotes for the electrician's time only. If you'd rather not source it, the electrician can supply parts and I'll include them in the quote.

It can be. Scorch marks, buzzing, or a breaker that trips again straight after you reset it usually point to a fault. Stop using it and I'll book an electrician to find the cause. If you've noticed a few warning signs, ask about an electrical safety check (EICR) while they're there.

Many jobs can be booked for the next working day, depending on availability near you. Tell me when you need it and I'll find the earliest slot. If you smell burning or see sparks, switch off at the fuse box and don't use it until it's been checked.
